Integrate Coaching Skills into Your Current Role ...
Coaching skills will increase your effectiveness in your various ministry and leadership roles. You will learn to have effective coaching conversations and/or establish an ongoing coaching relationship.
Coaching is a skill that can be incorporated into every relationship. Learn to ask questions that evoke awareness and lead a person to take action. Coaching is about transformation.
The course is very practical and interactive, with lots of skills practice. We will utilize breakout rooms on Zoom, with one-on-one and small group practice opportunities. It’s not a lecture.
Not just the Basics...
Based on the book, The COACH Model for Christian Leaders, this workshop is made especially for those who are working one-on-one with individuals, or in any ministry role leading people. The skills can be applied in a mentoring or peer support relationship.
Over the course of four 3-hour sessions, you will become familiar with the COACH Model® and use it to coach other participants. By the end of the course you will have the skills and the confidence to use coaching in your work and home contexts.
Topic and skills covered in this practical and interactive workshop:
- How to listen actively so others feel you understand them.
- How to ask powerful questions that initiate a change of thinking.
- How to generate feedback that avoids defensiveness.
- How to design action steps that will actually be accomplished.
- How to follow-up to increase learning and accountability.

Do I need to attend all four sessions?
Yes. Each session builds on the next. If you are unable to attend one of the sessions, please consider taking a future workshop.
What’s your refund policy?
If you can no longer attend the workshop, you may transfer your registration to another person for the same event, or you may transfer your membership to a future workshop.
